Sportsnet Edu is an educational venture of Flora Lens Media Pvt. Ltd., promoted by Harpal Singh Flora.
With nearly four decades of experience in sport—as a player, sports administrator at the national and international levels, and sports journalist—Harpal Singh Flora has observed the Indian sporting system from multiple perspectives.
Sportsnet Edu brings that experience into structured, accessible learning designed for the realities of Indian sport.
Flora Lens Media Pvt. Ltd. also owns SPORTSNET INTEL, a print sports magazine and news channel. This extends the group’s work across sports education, journalism and public information.
The need
Built for India’s Sporting Landscape
India’s sporting environment is different from that of many established sporting nations. A population of more than 1.4 billion is served by thousands of federations, associations, academies, clubs, schools and other organisations. Yet many people responsible for these institutions have limited access to structured, practical education in sports administration.
Running a sports organisation requires much more than enthusiasm. It demands responsible governance, proper documentation, financial discipline, athlete-centred systems, event-management skills, safeguarding, effective communication and an understanding of the laws and policies governing Indian sport.
